Each day includes a short, on stage moment where campers share what they’re learning. The full cast comes back together to cheer on the featured group, celebrate progress, and practice showing up for one another before the big finale.

Parents, family, and friends are welcome to attend, show their support, and hear brief announcements. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with counselors and ensure campers are picked up on time.

We can't wait to see you on stage at MTSU on July 6-10, 2026.
One unforgettable week together that will shine for years to come.

MTSU

Where Community Shines.

New for 2026, Spotlighters Camp is proud to partner with Middle Tennessee State University, bringing campers to a collegiate campus known for its strong commitment to the arts and creative expression.

Campers will take the stage in Tucker Theatre, MTSU’s premier performance venue inside the Boutwell Dramatic Arts Building. This professional theatre gives students the chance to rehearse and perform in a true university setting, experiencing the thrill of stepping onto a real collegiate stage while sharing their work with family, friends, and the community.

Get to Know Your Directors

Spotlighters Show Choir Camp was founded by Alabama native Jeremy Painter, a former educator and show choir director who believes the performing arts should be about more than just putting on a great show. The stage is where students should grow, belong, and shine.

Jeremy brings a unique blend of professional performance and leadership experience. His career includes Broadway, national touring productions, and large-scale live entertainment, along with years of mentoring students through music and theatre education. His passion is creating an environment where young performers feel supported, challenged, and proud of what they accomplish, both on and off stage.

Spotlighters began in Alabama as a pilot camp co-founded with Laurie Mitchell, Jeremy’s high school drama teacher and longtime collaborator, and has quickly grown into a program built on confidence, character, and community. Together, Jeremy and Laurie have seen firsthand how show choir can shape students into stronger performers, better teammates, and more confident young leaders.

At Spotlighters, every camper is encouraged to shine through hard work, encouragement, and unforgettable moments that last long after the final bow.

Don't Wait! Spotlighters only happens once a year.

Simple pricing. A meaningful experience.

Spotlighters Camp is designed to be a high-quality, supportive performing arts experience without hidden fees or surprises. Your camper’s registration covers a full week of music, choreography, community, and performance, led by experienced educators who care deeply about every student.
